Concert Report: Old Men DJ’s (Arena Art Bar)

This was the flyer from last night’s “Old Men” DJ concert.
It took place at The Arena Art Bar which is located in our former beloved Suite B Lounge space. There is musical entertainment at The Arena nearly always.
We arrived early and found DJ Kris Kokopelli (USA) playing in the 8PM time slot.
Another great House set from Kris.
Not even 9PM yet and the place was absolutely jammed.
Karly & Tori were putting out the drink orders as fast as they could.
It was 9PM and DJ Dave Cannalte (USA) was up next.
Dave’s set more on the Progressive House side.
He had the dance floor bouncing!
Of course we know Dave Cannalte from his annual appearances at the AAHZ Reunion on Thanksgiving Eve. Before that, we knew him from his weekly Cast Member Nights at Mannequins Dance Palace.
Both the dance floor and the bar stayed busy!
All too soon it was 10PM and the next guy came up: DJ Lee Coombs (GB/USA)
An Electro & House set with the first vocals of the night coming about 25 minutes into his session.
The lasers began flying.
Dance floor was jammed.
Frank was being Frank.
We ran into so many peeps from the local scene.
And then, at 11PM, there he was! The headliner…..
DJ Andy Hughes (USA)
Just before he came on we asked him whether he was doing a House set like all the others or a Breaks set for which he is best known. He said he didn’t know yet, lol.
We need not have worried…..he mixed together both!

Dance floor remained wall-to-wall.
An impromptu birthday celebration happened.
