Club Reports: Pretty Please, Celine, Vanguard

We were here for opening night a few weekends ago so this was just our second visit to new downtown club Pretty Please.
When you come inside you see this large narrow space with a large bar on the right side.
And the DJ booth along the left side.
House music with a bit of Latin House and Top 40 House being played by DJ Borsico (USA).
It was early but there was already a crowd at the bar.
And a party in VIP!
Really cool rock wall at the end of the bar…..with a real waterfall too!
We last saw Borsico at AVA MEDITERRAEGEAN in downtown Winter Park.
Spotted at the bar: DJ K1KO (USA) visiting with Holly.
Spotted on the dance floor: Amelia & Storm with DJ Dack (USA)
We’re told this new place gets crowded later so we’ll need to come check that out soon!
Next stop Celine.
We were here for an advertised rooftop show but when we entered we found a DJ booth wrapped in chain link down here on the main floor.
With House and Latin House being played by DJ Leo Branco (USA) as Maria cheered him on!
The dance floor downstairs would later get like this!
But up to the rooftop we went for the main event.
By 11:30PM it was looking like this!
DJ Fenky (USA) in the booth delivering mostly House music.
And then at midnight, there he was, the headliner…..
DJ Yaya (I/P)
He would continue the mostly House vibe mixed with some Afro House.
His unique beats had the dance floor bouncing.
First time seeing him play. He plays at Elrow in NYC tonight.
Spotted on the dance floor: Dina with friend.
That look you get from great House music!
Last stop of the night: The Vanguard
Where we walked into this.
DJ Dre Mendez (USA) was still on when we arrived playing an EDM/House set.
We were here for a Daft Punk (F) tribute show.
It was appropriately called “One More Time”.
And then at 1AM, there they were!
Going on to play a show of Daft Punk hits.
We had previously seen The Rolling Stones (GB) live and that was no fake Mick Jagger up there.
We had previously seen Kraftwerk (D) live and that was no fake quartet up there!
So to see some men dressed-up as fake-assed Daft Punk, sorry, we just weren’t feeling it. So we only stuck around about a half hour.
But others apparently were feeling it so that’s that. Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
